Painkiller Tablets: Taking painkillers is the easiest way to get rid of pain in case of abdominal pain, cramping and especially period cramps. Most women take painkillers only when they have cramps during periods. These painkillers mainly include NSAI drugs. That is, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Taking these medicines gives relief in pain within a few minutes. But something happens inside the body that next time you may feel more intense pain.
Women who take such medicines during period cramps can often have problems with clotting during bleeding. Periods may start coming before time or there may be a problem of late periods.
Not only this, regular use of these medicines harms healthy gut bacteria, gut flora deteriorates and due to this there is a negative effect on health. Apart from gut health, these medicines also have a bad effect on hormonal secretion. Because of this, there is an imbalance in the hormones and the problems related to periods increase further.
Who should not take pain killers?
Women who already have problems with cramps, severe pain or excessive clotting during periods should not use these painkillers. Because by doing this hormonal imbalance increases and all these problems become more serious than before.
What is the alternative to painkillers?
- Many herbal alternatives to painkillers are available in your home kitchen only. Like, celery, asafoetida, cumin etc. In these, by eating celery in the daily routine, you will get rid of the problem of pain, cramps and hormonal imbalance.
- If you have body pain, then eat a small spoon to half a spoon of celery every day after dinner. By doing this, cramps do not even happen during periods. But don’t consume it during peak summer, especially in May-June.
- If you want to consume it only at the time of periods, then you can consume it after preparing celery water. For this, take one and a half glass of water and put one spoon of celery in it and keep it to cook on low flame. When this water remains half, filter it and mix sugar candy in it and consume it hot.
- You can drink this water twice a day during periods. This will give you relief from problems like pain, cramps and clotting.
