The other rule is that during this journey, the travellers have to wear ihram. Apart from this, if women are participating in this yatra, then it is mandatory for them to be covered from head to toe. Male Hajj pilgrims wear white ihram which is a kind of unstitched white cloth, while female Hajj pilgrims have to wear white or black burqa.
