In such a situation, if you are a couple then it is very important for you to know what you should not do.
Kissed at a public place…
If you kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend at any public place, then it may cost you a lot. To do this, you may have to eat the air of jail. In fact, section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) provides that if a man or woman commits any obscene act in a public place, the police can take legal action against them.
If you kiss your girlfriend or your boyfriend or your husband or wife at railway station, metro station, market, school or any other public place, the police can arrest you by calling it obscene. In such a case, the police have been empowered under section 294 of the IPC.
Kissing in a car will also result in jail!
If someone kisses someone in a public place, police action can be taken against him. Even if someone kisses his girlfriend or boyfriend inside his car at a public place, then police action can be taken against them. In section 294 of IPC, a case can be registered for any obscene conversation in a public place and police action can be taken. If you do any obscene act in a public place, then even a common man can complain about it to the police.
This much is the punishment
Provision has been made for 3 months jail term and fine for doing obscene act in public place. Apart from this, if someone sings obscene songs, uses obscene words or does any such obscene act in or around a public place, even then the police can take action against him under section 294 of IPC.  ;
However, there is no clear definition of obscene in the law. Due to which the police often misuse this law. That’s why if love for your partner rises in your heart at a public place, then it would be better to control your feelings. If you want to spend some quality time with your partner, then for this you can use any private place like hotel room etc.
