WhatsApp Safety Report: WhatsApp has banned 47 lakh accounts from the platform between March 1 and March 31. The company has released the Monthly Safety Report. These accounts have been banned under IT Rule 4(1)(d) 2021. The company banned a total of 47,15,906 Indian accounts, out of which 16,59,385 accounts were banned by WhatsApp itself under its own policy. That is, the company had not received any complaint against these accounts, but they were not following the rules of WhatsApp, due to which action has been taken on these accounts. If you also violate the rules set by the company on the platform, then your account can also be banned.
So many complaints were received in the month of March
Between January 1 and February 28, WhatsApp had banned 45,97,400 accounts, out of which 12,98,000 accounts had already been banned by the company without any complaint. According to the latest safety report, WhatsApp received 4,720 complaints in the month of March, out of which 4,316 complaints were for account ban. Out of this, WhatsApp took action only against 553 and banned the concerned accounts from the platform.
Let me tell you, according to the IT Rules 2021, any social media platform which has more than 50 lakh users has to publish a safety report every month, in which information about the complaints and action taken by the company has to be given. In the month of March, WhatsApp has taken action on 4.7 million accounts.
