WhatsApp Update: Instant messaging app WhatsApp is used by more than 2 billion people worldwide. This app is very easy to use. From time to time the company keeps adding new features to WhatsApp. Last year, WhatsApp had made the channel feature live through which users can add to their favorite creators, institutions, celebs etc. without mobile number. Within just a few months of its launch, the WhatsApp channel had more than 500 million monthly active users. Now the company has released some new features for the channel.
3 new features added
WhatsApp has added 3 new features to channels which include voice messages, polls and share to status. Along with this, the company has also given the feature of multiple admins to the users. Under this feature, channel admins can create more than one admin so that followers can continue to get updates on the channel even in their absence.
New features for WhatsApp channel were announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg from his WhatsApp channel. Through the voice message feature, channel owners can now convey their message to the people through voice also. This will create a different connection between channel owners and followers. Using the Polls feature, admins can take people’s opinion on any topic as to what they like.
Users added to the channel can now share the multimedia messages coming in it directly in their status. You can also show the day-to-day postings of your favorite celebs to your friends through status. You can also create your own channel on WhatsApp. To create a channel, you have to click on the New Channel option under the Status tab.
