There was no such feature in WhatsApp, but now the company has started rolling out this new feature i.e. Ownership Transfer feature for WhatsApp channel.

According to the report of WABetaInfo, the name of this feature is Transfer Channel Ownership. This feature was kept in testing mode for the last few weeks, through which some beta users of Android version also got the opportunity to use this new feature. However, now the company has started rolling out this special feature for other users also, and according to the report, in the coming few weeks, other users will also get the feature to transfer the ownership of the WhatsApp channel.
New update available on Google Play Store
WhatsApp said about this feature that, we were working on a feature to transfer the ownership of the channel to the users. This feature has been designed to provide users with more flexibility and control over their channels than before. Through this feature, users can hand over access to the administrative responsibilities of their channels to other users if needed. The company informed that users will get this new update of WhatsApp channel through Android 2.24.4.22, which has been updated on Google Play Store.
