WhatsApp File Sharing Feature; Social media giant WhatsApp is working on a new feature. Currently this feature has been released for Android beta testers. After testing, it can be made live for all users in the coming time. The new feature lets you transfer files with people nearby. For this, you will get the option of share files in the app, inside which there will be an option of people nearby.

To transfer files, both users will have to keep this option on. After selecting the file, a request will come to the user’s mobile which he will receive when he shakes his phone. As soon as the request is accepted, the file transfer will start. Currently this feature is in beta stage which means that you may face problems in file transfer.

The company already offers this option

WhatsApp already allows users to transfer files up to 2GB through chat. However, this requires high speed data. In case of data week, the file is downloaded slowly which takes several hours. To eliminate this problem, the company is bringing a new option in the app.

The file sent under the new file transfer feature will also be end-to-end encrypted and no one except you will be able to see it. When you transfer files with people who are not saved in your contacts, your mobile number will not be visible to them. Apart from this, the company is working on many new features which will gradually become available to the users. One of these is the username feature.
