Whatsapp MacOS Update: WhatsApp is constantly working to improve its app on desktop. The company had made some changes in the UI for Windows users and Mac users some time ago. Now on Mac, the company is soon going to give people the option of WhatsApp group audio and video calls. Earlier this feature was disabled.

According to Wabetainfo, a website that monitors the development of WhatsApp, the company is working on the WhatsApp group audio and video call feature, which has just been released on MacOS for some beta testers. With the help of this feature, users can make group video calls to 7 people and audio calls to 32 people at a time. You can also make group calls to people who are not added to the group. For this, you have to go to the call section and click on create call and add people and call them.

Android users will soon get Channel feature

Meta is preparing to bring the ‘Channel’ feature to WhatsApp soon. Currently it has been released for some beta testers. In the channel feature, people will come to know about the latest announcements, updates etc. In channel option, users will get 12 features which include changed interface, verification status, follower count, mute notification, real follower count, shortcut, channel description, mute toggle, visibility, privacy and report.

Will get chat lock feature

To further improve the privacy of WhatsApp users, Meta is working on the ‘Chat Lock’ feature. With its help, users will be able to lock an individual chat. Users can use fingerprint, passcode etc. to lock the chat. Soon WhatsApp users will also be able to set voice notes as status on the app.
