WhatsApp: WhatsApp keeps adding new features to its app every day. This time also a new and very useful feature has been included in this app. Let us tell you about it. WhatsApp started testing this feature a few days ago and rolled it out for beta users under Android beta version 2.24.8.11. The name of this feature is Disable Link Preview. Now the testing of this feature has been completed and it is being rolled out for common users.

New feature of WhatsApp

According to a latest report by WabetaInfo, WhatsApp will roll out this feature for other users also in the coming days. With this feature, WhatsApp is trying to make the privacy of users better and stronger than before. Through this feature, users’ IP address can be protected from third party websites.

In the screenshot shared in this report, it can be seen that in the privacy settings of WhatsApp, users will get an option named Advanced. After going there, users will get two options. The first will be to protect the IP address during calls (Protect IP address in Calls). The second option will be Disable Link Previews. After turning it on, a preview of whatever link you share in any chat will not be generated and third party websites will not be able to know your IP address.

Will save the IP address

To activate any of these two features of WhatsApp, you just have to click on the toggle visible next to these two options. The toggle will turn green when activated and gray when deactivated.
