WhatsApp is introducing fun features for the New Year to improve the calling and messaging experience. The company announced this on Thursday. WhatsApp users will be able to take advantage of calling effects with the New Year theme. However, its benefit will be available only for a limited time. Besides, the instant messaging platform has also introduced new animations and sticker packs keeping in mind the festive atmosphere.

According to WhatsApp, now users can make video calls during holidays and apply festival backgrounds, filters and effects for the New Year. Whereas, when a user reacts to a message using the selected party emoji, a confetti animation will appear for both the sender and the receiver.
New stickers also introduced
WhatsApp has also introduced new stickers. Keeping the New Year in mind, a curated New Year’s Eve (NYE) sticker pack with new avatar stickers has also been made available. This will greatly enhance the experience of the users.
