There was a demand for this feature for a long time
The company is rolling out this new feature for beta users. Beta users can check this update in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.7.6. Users were demanding the feature of sharing long videos in status for a long time, after which their demand is going to be fulfilled. This feature will be rolled out for global users only after the beta testing is completed.
Apart from the status update feature, WhatsApp is also working on another feature. In this feature you will be able to scan QR code for UPI payment on WhatsApp. A report by WABetaInfo states that the company is doing beta testing on this feature, only after which this feature will be rolled out for global users.
