Although, this update had already arrived in March 2023, but WhatsApp itself is informing users about this feature. Voice status can be set for 30 seconds
Users can record up to 30 seconds of voice and set it as status, which is the same as the maximum limit for video updates. You can also change the background color of the status by clicking on the color palette button while applying the status. Earlier, WhatsApp users could send voice messages only in personal chats and group chats, but in the recent version, the option to share voice messages as status has also been included.

1. Open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone.
2. Swipe left to go to the status menu.
3. Tap on the pen symbol in the lower-right corner of the screen.
4. To start recording your voice, tap and hold the microphone icon .
