Hide phone number feature
According to the report of WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow you to add a username to your account. The platform will give you the option to hide the phone number, and all users will be able to see only the username. With this, users will be able to add an extra layer of security to their accounts. This feature is currently under development and will be released to more beta testers in future updates. Once the testing is done, the feature will be rolled out to all the users.
screen share feature
WhatsApp is planning to add a new option to share the screen of the phone on the platform during video calls. The app is used by billions of users for both messaging and calling. Adding screen sharing to video calls is expected to cut off many rivals like Google Meet. The feature is available to Android beta testers of the app and could be rolled out in the coming weeks or months.
