During Ganeshotsav, many homes make traditional Ukadi Modaks, but some people also make fried Modaks made from wheat flour. These Modaks are delicious in taste and a slightly different method is adopted to make them. Let us know how to make Modaks from wheat flour.

Ingredients for the outer layer (pari) of modak
1 bowl wheat flour
1 bowl of semolina
2 tsp ghee
½ bowl of milk
Salt to taste

Ingredients for Saran (Stuffing)
1 bowl wet coconut
Jaggery (according to taste)
khoya
cardamom powder
Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, etc.)

how to prepare saran (stuffing) for modaks
1. First of all, put 2 teaspoons of ghee in a pan and fry the dry fruits till they turn light golden.
2. After this add jaggery in the pan and let it melt.
3. When the jaggery melts completely, add wet coconut to it and mix well.
4.Add khoya and cardamom powder to this mixture and mix well. Now saran is ready.

Method for making Modak
Mix flour, semolina and ghee well and knead soft dough with the help of milk.
Make small balls of dough and roll them and fill the prepared saran in them.
Now close the modak properly so that the saran does not come out.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the modaks till they turn golden brown.
In this way your delicious and crispy fried modaks made from wheat flour will be ready.
