A unique case has come to light in China. A family was traveling on a touring package. During the trip, when the family refused to buy jewelery worth about Rs 5.5 lakh from a local jeweler in a city, the tourist guide threw them out of the bus and asked them to catch another bus. Due to which the family had to file a complaint regarding the matter.
The Tian family from Hebei province in northern China had purchased the group tax package. The price of this package was 17 thousand yuan i.e. about 2 lakh rupees. In this, there was a package for five people from Yunane Guoyu International Travel Service which the woman had taken for her husband and three children.
The travel service company had authorized Yunnan Golden Tree Leaf International Travel Company for the tour. On February 12, the third day of the trip, the family had a fight with a tour guide, after which the guide threw the family out of the bus. The family had refused to let the guide named Zhang buy a piece of jewelery from a local jeweller.

According to media reports, Zhang took all the tourists to a shop inside Lijiang city where a salesman started convincing the Tian family to buy bracelets worth 50 thousand yuan or Rs 5 lakh 88 thousand. Mrs. Tian praised the bracelet, but said that she could not buy it because the bracelet was too expensive.
The salesman kept asking the woman why she did not want to buy the bracelet. The woman said that perhaps she was not satisfied with his answer. After this the salesman asked to talk to Zhang, Zhang also asked the woman if she really did not want to buy this bracelet?
Tian noticed that while other tourists had bought expensive jewellery, she decided not to buy the bracelet. On saying this, Zhang asked Tiang and his family to go to another tour bus. Shocked by this behavior, Tian reported Zhang to the Lijiang Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, the local police and the travel service company.
After an official investigation, a fine of 20 thousand yuan (2 lakh 35 thousand rupees) was imposed on Zhang. The license of the travel company was canceled and Tian’s family received compensation of 10 thousand yuan (one lakh 17 thousand rupees). This incident is being discussed a lot on social media.
