There is no telling when and how someone’s luck will shine. If God is kind, some become millionaires overnight, while others lose crores of rupees. Many times someone finds a treasure hidden inside the house, and sometimes someone wins the lottery. Such cases often come to light in the sea. Sometimes one finds whale vomit, and sometimes rare fish. A similar case has come to light in Japan. When the fishermen threw their net in the sea there, they caught a ‘powerful’ tuna fish. The fishermen had to struggle to get it out because its weight was 276 kg. When it was put up for auction, a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant bought it at a asking price. Giant bluefin tuna has gone viral for being sold for a huge price.
Sushi is usually made from this tuna fish. The price of this fish in the market is Rs 200 per kg. In such a situation, if this Bahubali Tuna is priced, it would be sold for Rs 55 thousand. But it broke all records and the fortunes of the fishermen improved overnight. Actually, the fishermen took this tuna fish to Tokyo’s Toyosu Fish Market for auction. The initial bid started at Rs 10 lakh. But within no time its bid kept increasing. In this way, Michelin-starred sushi restaurant Onodera Group paid a whopping price of 207 million yen ($1.3 million or Rs 11 crore) for this tuna. The noteworthy thing is that this group had spent 114 million yen (6 crore 17 lakh) for top tuna last year. Let us tell you that earlier in 1999, the most expensive tuna fish was sold in Tokyo itself. After that it reportedly became the second most expensive fish.
