The smallest note currently in circulation in Indian currency is Rs 10. The consumption of this note is as much in the market as it is hardly in any other note. Even before 10 note issued by RBI in India 10 K’s note used to work. But it was run by the British rule. Gandhiji’s picture was not on these notes, but King George VI’s picture was printed on them. The reverse side of this note had its denomination in Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Burmese, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Gujarati and was accompanied by a picture of two elephants.

What was the specialty of the first Indian 10 note
The Reserve Bank of India issued 10 note for the first time in the year 1966 and Mahatma Gandhi’s picture was printed on it. The size of this note was 137mm X 63 mm. In this note, for the first time, the RBI also used the Braille feature to help the visually impaired to identify currency. The picture of 1 rhinoceros, 1 elephant and 1 tiger was made in the back of this note. Along with the 10 note, there is also a fact that most changes have been made in it.
New series notes were announced in 2016
Mahatma Gandhi New Series notes The announcement was made in 2016. On the other hand, the note which is running in the market today has been issued in the year 2018. On this note, there was a picture of Gandhiji on the front and on the reverse side there is a picture of the Sun Temple of Konark. Whereas, the base color of the note became chocolate brown. And the size of this note is 63mm x 123mm.
