Henley Passport Index is based on the last 19 years’ data given by the International Air Transport Association on passports of 199 different countries and about 227 travel destinations around the world.

Data from Henley Passport Index shows that there has been a significant change in mobility around the world. According to the information, in the year 2006, people could travel visa free to 58 countries on an average. This figure has almost doubled this year to 111 countries. It is written on the website of Henley Passport Index that they have data of last 19 years of passports of different countries. According to the website, the Henley Passport Index is the only index of its kind based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority.
