He told that even today he is selling his sweets on this cart because if he sets up a shop somewhere, he will have to take a place for it and due to the rising inflation, taking a place today has become a big challenge. Of course, people like his sweets a lot but he is not able to save enough money from those sweets to open his own shop.
Dulichand, who was selling sweets at Gandhi Chowk in Jhunjhunu, said that he has been dealing in sweets for the last many years. He started this work in his childhood and even today he makes sweets and feeds them to people all the time. People like their carrot halwa during winters. The number of sweets she prepares in a day. Their sweets are sold out by evening. They get so much money from them that their family expenses are covered. He could not save more money than this, that is why even today he sells his sweets on a cart.
Dulichand told that apart from carrot halwa, he also has rasmalai, garam gulab jamun, rasgulla, rajbhog, moong halwa, all these things are available. In which their Carrot Halwa is being sold at ₹ 500 kg, one of their Rasmalai at ₹ 70 per piece, Gulab Jamun at ₹ 25 per piece, Rajbhog at ₹ 70 per piece, Rasgulla at ₹ 20 per piece. Another special thing is that he comes to the market to sell his cart only after 4:00 in the evening. He sells his sweets from 9:00 to 10:00 pm during winters.
During this period, their sweets are sold worth about two to two and a half thousand rupees. This entire sweet is prepared with one’s own hands just like it is made in the day. Devotees coming to Rani Shakti Temple bring it to the market on the same evening and tourists visiting Jhunjhunu also say it with great interest. Apart from this, people from the surrounding areas of Jhunjhunu also keep coming to him to eat his sweets.
