Flight Bomb Threat Case: Of the more than 100 threats made so far to bomb flights in India, most of them were given from the ‘X’ handle named Adam Lanza (@adamlanza1111). According to the report of the English newspaper ‘The Indian Express’, American Airlines along with Indian airlines like Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, Alliance Air and Star Air on October 18 and 19 from its handle on the social media platform. Threats were made to international airlines like Jet Blue and Air New Zealand.
The threatening posts claimed, “There are bombs on five of your planes. No one will survive. Hurry up and evacuate the plane!” At the time the bomb threats were given, some flights were still in the sky, while some flights had already completed their journey. According to media reports, @adamlanza1111 was active on handle X for some time but later it was suspended by the social network company.
Who is Adam Lanza?
The X handle @adamlanza1111 was named after Adam Lanza, convicted of the horrific mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in America in 2012. Adam Lanza killed 20 children and six teachers in the shooting. He had also killed his mother before the incident. No clear motive for Adam Lanza’s crime could ever be revealed, but many such documents and articles have been found, which indicate that Adam Lanza has a greater inclination towards violence.
