AC on Upper Side: To get relief from the scorching heat in the summer season, people install fans, coolers and ACs in their homes. In the summer season, when AC people come to the room from outside and the AC is running, then there is a lot of relief. There is a lot of relief when cool air blows from the AC installed upstairs in the room. No matter where you have gone, you must have noticed that everywhere the AC is installed on the walls like above. Have you ever wondered why the AC is placed only on the top side of the wall? It is not that people do this just by seeing each other, but there is an important reason behind it as well. Let’s know… Also we will know what will happen if we put it on the bottom side…
Why do you put AC on the top?
Installing AC above the room is directly related to the coolness and air of the room. Actually, there are some qualities of air due to which this is done. First of all, you should know that hot air is lighter so it rises upwards, while cold air is heavier than hot air. The concept of putting the AC up is also related to this. The air that comes out of the AC is cool and the warm air remains in the room. Cold air is heavier than warm air. After coming out of the AC, the cold air goes towards the floor. Since the hot air is very light, it starts flying upwards. In such a situation, whenever the AC runs, the cold air keeps coming down and the hot air keeps going up. The AC expels the hot air from above and the room becomes cool.

It is such a cycle, in which cold air keeps coming down and warm air keeps going up. This whole process is called convection and it goes on continuously. If you ever check the temperature of the lower part of the room, it will be very low and the upper part will be very high. This happens only because of the wind. That’s why AC is always installed upwards.
What if you put it down?
If you place the AC at the bottom, then the cold air of the AC will remain only at the bottom. By doing this, only the floor area will be cooled and the whole room will have warm air upwards. Due to this the room will not be able to cool down completely. For this reason the AC is never put down, while it is just the opposite in the case of heaters. The heaters are placed at the bottom of the rooms. Because, when heated by the heater, the air rises up which spreads in the whole room and the whole room gets warm. If the heater is installed above, only the roof will be warm and the cold will remain below.
