Why do we yawn after seeing each other? Laziness is not the reason, there is science behind it too…

Some such incidents happen daily in the life of all of us, which we consider normal. Although we don’t even know that science works behind it. One such common process is yawning. It is generally believed that when someone gets tired of doing the same thing or is feeling lazy, he starts yawning. Is it really so?

You must have often seen that if one person is yawning, then other people around him also start yawning. After all, why is it that we start yawning only when we see someone else doing the same? Is this just a sign of laziness or is there some scientific reason behind it?

Is yawning also an infection?
Actually, yawning is a normal process. This is not a bacterial or viral infection, then why does this behavior develop in others so quickly. Scientists have discovered the answer, the connection of which came directly from our brain. According to Italian scientists, mirror neuron is behind this. This neuron is associated with learning anything new, copying and showing empathy. True to its name, it creates a shadow of the person in front. This is the reason why when we see someone yawning, the mirror neuron of the brain gets activated and we start doing the same.

This science is amazing
This neuron was discovered by a neurobiologist named Giacomo Rizzolati. By first doing research on the monkey’s brain, he understood its activity. When this experiment was done in humans, it was found that it works in exactly the same way here too. Mirror neurons are found in four parts of the brain. This neuron also leaves its impact on their ability to work. In autism, schizophrenia and some brain related diseases, this neuron is affected and its efficiency is reduced.
