According to a study done at Princeton University of America, the connection of yawning to a person is with his brain. When our mind gets heated up while working, then yawning comes only to cool it down a bit. The temperature of our body becomes stable due to yawning. A research study published in Animal Behavior Journal says that people whose brains work more, they yawn a little longer.

In the year 2004, there was a study on this topic in the Munich Psychiatric University Hospital. This study said that yawning can cause the spread of infection. This study was done on 300 people, in which 150 people started yawning on seeing other people.

Scientists say that when a person yawns, our mirror neuron system becomes active after seeing it. This system prompts us to mimic yawning. This is the reason why the person sitting on the seat next to the driver is forbidden to yawn or sleep. Because by doing this the driver also yawns and feels sleepy.
