American space agency NASA has answered this. Which is very interesting. According to NASA, all the planets and stars including Sun and Moon rise in the east and set in the west. This is because the Earth rotates towards the east.
You should understand that the Earth is rotating towards the east and moving towards the west. In such a situation, if you are standing facing east. So when the earth turns, it is taking you towards the east. Therefore whatever appears above appears to be happening above. Let us understand another reason. The Sun is stationary relative to the Earth and the Earth rotates on its axis from west to east. The Earth rotates on its axis at a speed of about 1600 km per hour. This is the reason why it seems that the sun is moving from east to west. That is, the direction of the Earth’s rotation on its axis is the reason why the Sun appears to rise in the east.
Earth’s speed decreases as it moves towards the North Pole
According to NASA, due to the rotation of the Earth, people at the equator are moving at a speed of about 1,600 kilometers per hour. As you move in any direction towards the Earth’s poles, this speed decreases. In Texas, America, this speed then becomes 1,400 kilometers per hour. In Canada it remains at about one thousand kilometers per hour. In such a situation, imagine what would happen if you stood exactly at the North Pole? You would still be rotating, but you would be rotating in a circle like the Earth rotates on its axis.
So why don’t we know?
Now the most important question is, if the Earth is rotating so fast then why don’t we know? This is because humans do not have any ‘speed organs’ that can sense full speed. Humans can only tell how fast something is moving relative to something else. And you can feel the change in speed as you either speed up or slow down. But we can’t really tell whether we’re moving at a constant speed or not until something else prompts us!
