The lower part is very special
But due to such pit design, soda cans can withstand pressure up to about 90 pounds per square inch and do not burst. The second thing worth noting at the bottom are the raised corners. This design is done from the bottom so that it can easily stand on the table or fridge and does not fall. They can be easily stacked and kept even in small spaces. Many videos are also posted on social media in which it is told that you can open other cans with the raised corners. All you have to do is pull the tab on the corner of the other can and open it.

The design was not like this from the beginning
According to Reader’s Digest, the bottom corner of the soda can was not always raised. Around 1967, companies like Pepsi and Coca Cola switched to aluminum cans. Earlier he used to sell cold drinks in bottles only. Gradually he changed the design of the can and made its corners raised, so that people could open one can from another and could conveniently place the can anywhere.
