Why is white foam seen again and again in Yamuna, why does this not happen in other rivers?

India’s capital Delhi is again in the news these days regarding Yamuna River. The filling of Yamuna with poisonous white foam before Chhath shows how prepared the government machinery is for this. Well, today in this article we will not tell you about the government’s failures, but about where this white foam comes from in the Yamuna river and why it is not seen in other rivers. White foam in Yamuna

Every year before Chhath, when pictures or videos of Delhi’s Yamuna river go viral, white foam is seen floating everywhere. As beautiful as it looks, in reality it is more dangerous and poisonous. Bathing in this water can cause many serious diseases. However, even after this, people celebrating Chhath take bath in it and perform their puja. Now we come to our real question that why does this happen only with Yamuna river.

Actually, the number of factories in Delhi or its surrounding areas through which Yamuna river passes is very high. In such a situation, the chemical waste released from them gets into the Yamuna river without being filtered. Apart from this, dirty water of the city also gets mixed into Yamuna river from many places without any filter. Due to these reasons, the water of Yamuna turns black and due to chemical reaction, foam starts forming in it.

Due to which special chemical does foam form?

< p>Now the question arises that what happens in this waste that foam starts forming in the water of Yamuna. According to experts, this happens because of phosphate. In fact, the chemical waste that comes out from factories and the dirty water of the city that falls into Yamuna contains very high amount of phosphate. Because of this, white foam is formed in the water of Yamuna.

Why this does not happen with other rivers

It is not that white foam occurs only in Yamuna. Are made in me only. They are also formed in other rivers but their quantity is less. Actually, due to factories in Yamuna and due to sewage of Delhi-Noida, a lot of chemicals fall simultaneously. Because of this, white foam is formed here more than in other rivers. Apart from this, the flow in Yamuna river is not fast at this time, due to which white foam is seen gathered around the ghat.
