Wicketkeeper Batsman Wriddhiman Saha Not Concerning About Return In Indian Team He Focusing On Ranji Trophy

Wriddhiman Saha Focusing On Ranji Trophy: Star wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhimana Saha is not worried at all about his return to Team India. Saha’s focus is on the upcoming Ranji Trophy. Saha is unfazed by the possibility of not playing for Team India. After the injury of Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, it was being said that Saha would return to the Indian team Test, but this did not happen. KS Bharat took over.

Saha did not appear worried at all about Rahane’s return to Team India through the final of the World Test Championship played against Australia. These days Saha is spending time with his family in Siliguri. Apart from this, he is actively participating in coaching aspiring cricketers at Kalighat Cricket Academy.

Saha, who belongs to Bengal, has started playing first class cricket for Tripura. In such a situation, he can be seen playing Ranji for Tripura for the coming season. After some controversy, Saha shifted towards Tripura. Even though the Cricket Association of Bengal approached him again this year, Saha declined their request, indicating his lack of interest.

Cricket experts were advocating Saha’s return to Team India before the WTC final. Players like Pujara and Rahane were also included in the team. However, Saha understands that keeping in view the age, the selectors are giving priority to young players.

Recently, 38-year-old Saha refused to play in Duleep Trophy 2023, saying that he does not want to occupy the place of young players. Apart from IPL and Ranji Trophy, Saha has decided not to participate in any national level tournament. Saha is focusing on the development and progress of cricket in Tripura and as a mentor to young talent ahead of a possible return to India.
