A sensational incident took place on Sunday in Patrasa village of Panki police station area of Kanpur. It is alleged that when he protested against the illicit relationship, the wife, along with her lover, an acquaintance of a lawyer and others, locked the husband in a room of a school, poured petrol on him and burnt him alive.
Police reached the information and sent the half-burnt body for post-mortem and arrested the school owner lawyer. The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot. The brother of the deceased has filed a complaint accusing four including sister-in-law and her lover of murder.
Dayaram Sonkar (45), originally a resident of Deori village of Fatehpur, was a sociology teacher in Gramya Vikas Inter College located at Rasdhan in Kanpur Dehat. He was married to Sangeeta Devi, resident of Bhaisoli, Bakewar, Jehanabad, Fatehpur in the year 2009.
They have a son Aadvik. Dayaram lived with his family in a house in Barra-Aath. The deceased’s younger brother Anuj told the police that Sangeeta was in a love affair with dhaba owner Pawan, resident of Harbashpur Bidhnu.
