Ashish Nehra After Rahul Dravid: The discussions about former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra are intense. It is being said that Nehra can become the head coach of the Indian team. At present, the former bowler is playing the role of coach of the IPL franchise Gujarat Titans. Gujarat, captained by Hardik Pandya, won the title under Nehra’s coaching in the debut season itself. After this, in the next season i.e. 2023 also the IPL franchise reached the final.
On the other hand, the contract of Rahul Dravid, the current head coach of the Indian team, will end in November and he does not want to extend his tenure. Due to this, the news of Nehra becoming the coach is coming out. But according to a report in the news agency ‘PTI’, Nehra is not interested in becoming India’s coach as the former bowler has a contract with Gujarat Titans till the end of 2025.
Speaking to PTI, a former BCCI official said, “Suppose India wins the World Cup, Dravid doesn’t want to extend his tenure as he would like to end his tenure on a good note. But if you ask me, after the World Cup, BCCI should consider different coaches for each format. He should ask Rahul Dravid to continue as the red ball coach.”
Rahul Dravid got the responsibility after Ravi Shastri
Please tell that after the end of Ravi Shastri’s tenure, Rahul Dravid was appointed as the head coach of the Indian team. Ravi Shastri’s contract came to an end after Team India was eliminated from the group stage in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Then in November 2021, this responsibility was given to Rahul Dravid. Now it will be interesting to see whether Rahul Dravid remains the head coach of the team or someone else takes his place.
