PM Modi Invitation: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting is going to be held in October this year, which is going to be hosted by Pakistan. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said on Thursday (29 August 2024) that invitations have been sent from many countries to attend the summit to be held on October 15-16. He said that some countries have already confirmed their participation in the SCO meeting.
According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said that the Prime Minister of India for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting Narendra Modi has also been invited. He said that when the right time comes, it will be told which countries have confirmed their participation in it. When asked about relations with India, the spokesperson said that Pakistan does not have direct bilateral trade with India.
Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said that the SCO meeting to be held in Pakistan will focus on financial, economic, socio-cultural and humanitarian cooperation among member countries.
