A woman died after being hit by the bike of a student who was going to collect admit card from the college in Diggi of Sadar police station area of Hajipur. Both the students riding the bike were also seriously injured in the accident. The deceased woman has been identified as Namita Devi (50), wife of Surjeet Singh, resident of Diggi.
According to the information, both Aryan Raj and Rahul Kumar, residents of Daudnagar of Bidupur, were going to Raj Narayan College to collect the admit card. During this time, a woman crossing the road in a digger got hit by the bike of the students. Sadar police station reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and admitted both the students including the woman to Sadar hospital for treatment. After first aid, the doctors referred the woman to PMCH as her condition was critical. But, he died on the way.
After the death of the woman, the body was brought from Patna to Sadar Hospital and the family members were informed. On the other hand, both the students injured in police custody are undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
