Late on Monday night, a woman was stabbed to death with a knife, about 100 meters away from her house, in Malethi village of Dullahapur police station area of ​​Ghazipur district. Sunil Bari, husband of Shweta Bari (35), resident of Malethi village, has already died. She used to walk several rounds every day at 9:00 pm on Kharanja, located about 100 meters from her house. There was a program of Tilak Utsav in the village itself at 8 pm on Monday night. Where father-in-law Lalji Bari had gone to join his two children. When he came home with the children after having dinner at 9:30 pm, Shweta was not seen.

On this, when he called Shweta’s mobile, it rang several times, but when it was not received, he went out to search with a torch. His blood-soaked body was lying on a platform just 100 meters away from the house. He was stabbed three times with a knife. Hearing the noise the villagers gathered. With the help of the people present, the body was picked up and brought home and the police station incharge was informed about the incident.

Police forces from several police stations including Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Nagar Gyanendra, Deputy Superintendent of Police Balram, Police Station Head Ashok Mishra reached the spot. Taking possession of the body, they searched the entire 500 meter stretch of road for the whole night, but no concrete evidence was found. In the night itself, the father-in-law of the deceased filed a complaint against unknown people for murder.

The police registered a case and started uncovering the incident. SP Omveer Singh said that many evidences have been obtained. Will be revealed soon.
