Cesarean vs Normal Delivery : If there are complications at the time of delivery, the help of cesarean i.e. C-section delivery is taken. The number of women undergoing cesarean delivery in the country is increasing rapidly. According to reports, there has been a significant increase in cesarean deliveries in the country in the last few years. In private hospitals of India, one out of every two deliveries is taking place through C-section, while one out of every five women in the country is giving birth to a child through cesarean delivery.

Which delivery is dangerous, cesarean or normal?

1. Doctors choose C-section and normal delivery after looking at the condition of the pregnant woman.

2. In cesarean, the child is born by making an incision in the mother’s abdomen and uterus, whereas in normal delivery, birth takes place through the birth canal.

3. Cesarean is planned in advance, whereas normal delivery is done suddenly after the onset of labor pain.

4. Cesarean delivery takes 6-8 weeks to recover, whereas in normal delivery, recovery takes place within 6 weeks.

When can normal delivery become risky?

According to gynecologists, delivery through C section is a good option for those who want to have more than one child. This happens when the baby is in breech position or the pregnant woman is suffering from conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure or active herpes. In such a condition, normal birth can be risky. Even if there is a problem of placenta previa, normal delivery can be dangerous.

Are there more risks in normal delivery?

It has been told in many researches that normal or natural delivery is less risky. In this the risk of postpartum infection is significantly reduced. It takes only 6 weeks for the mother to recover after delivery. Apart from this, natural birth gives a very good feeling to the mother, baby and family.
