According to the preliminary draft schedule of the 2023 ODI World Cup prepared by the BCCI, England and New Zealand will clash in the tournament-opener on October 5, while India will begin their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
The report further states that during the league stage, India has to play its league matches at nine venues, while Pakistan has to play at five venues. While the draft schedule has not given details about the semi-final venues, it is expected that they will be held on November 15 and 16. Apart from this, the final match of the tournament will be held in Ahmedabad on 19 November.

Significantly, only eight teams have directly qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, this Mahakumbh of cricket will be played between 10 teams. In such a situation, there will be a battle between 10 teams for the remaining two places from June 18, including West Indies and Sri Lanka.
