How is air formed on earth?
First things first, We all know that our Earth, surrounded by layers of gas molecules, which is called atmosphere. It mainly contains nitrogen, Oxygen, Helium, Neon, There are gases like methane and carbon dioxide. The atmosphere extends from the Earth’s surface to about Exists up to an altitude of 320 kilometers . When the molecules of these gases gain motion it is called wind. Air has existed on Earth for billions of years.
Now the question arises that how does the wind blow? So when the sun heats up the surface of the earth, it also heats up the atmosphere. The parts which are directly exposed to the sun’s rays get heated up, The places where the sun rays fall obliquely are cold. Now the part where the rays fall strongly, that surface will get heated as well as"s1">, The air also gets heated. This hot air is lighter than cold air, This is the reason why it rises up and starts spreading. Cool air comes down to take its place. The faster it comes down, the faster the wind will blow.
