In a video shared on GWR’s Instagram, Rumesa said, “I am very excited. my heart beats fast.” During this time, the airline staff was helping Rumesa to board the plane by laying her on a stretcher. Responding to a comment on the video, Rumesa explained why she needed to lie down during the flight. He said that he has scoliosis, which is a serious disease of the spine.

Gelgi said, “I have two long rods and 30 screws inserted in my spine, which prevent my spine from bending or twisting. That’s why I always have to keep my back straight. For me, lying on a stretcher is the safest and only option while traveling by air.”

It is noteworthy that the height of Rumesa Gelgi, who has won five Guinness World Records titles, is 7 feet 0.7 inches, and is a public speaker and activist. Apart from this, he is also a lawyer and researcher.

According to GWR, the reason behind Rumesa Gelgi’s abnormal height is a rare genetic mutation called Weaver syndrome. Rumesa has been suffering from this rare mutation since birth.
