Xiaomi India: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi will make its first local audio product in India. The company has partnered with Optiemus Electronics for this and these audio products will be manufactured at the manufacturing plant in UP. The company aims to take the production of products made in the domestic market to 50 percent by 2025. Presently the company manufactures audio products but these are not manufactured in India.
Xiaomi’s Indian wing locally currently manufactures smart TVs and mobiles. Now soon the company will also produce audio products in the domestic market. Let us tell you, the company already sells speakers, earbuds, headphones and wireless Bluetooth devices in the market. Now the company will manufacture audio products locally with Optiemus. The Government of India is also asking MNCs to increase local manufacturing so that the country can be made self-sufficient and more and more people can get employment.
Samsung overtakes Xiaomi to become India’s number 1 brand
Chinese brand Xiaomi has suffered a loss of 18.9% in quarterly revenue in India as the demand for smartphones has reduced in the market after the pandemic. Even in the domestic market China, the company has faced a downfall of 20% in terms of sales. In the first quarter of 2023, a downfall of 11% has been recorded in the smartphone market in China. Xiaomi’s business has slowed down in India as well and the company has come down from the top list. In place of Xiaomi, the Korean company Samsung has managed to make its place in the top selling smartphone and the company has pushed Xiaomi, which has been ruling for a long time, down from this list. Actually, Xiaomi has come down in the list due to two reasons, one is low demand and the other is to manufacture its products according to the people.
