The officials have adopted the method of ‘Gandhigiri’ in this campaign. Instead of issuing challans or scolding those riding bikes or scooters without helmets, they are being presented with roses. Along with this, they are being advised to follow traffic rules.

Some people are also being honored with garlands, so that they understand their mistake and resolve to wear helmets in future. The main objective of this campaign is to make people aware about the importance of wearing helmets. Officials have appealed that not only the bike driver but also the pillion passenger must wear a helmet.

This campaign will run till January 26, and its aim is to reduce road accidents and ensure the safety of people. This effort of the police and administration is commendable, because it is not only spreading awareness but is also teaching people to become responsible citizens.
