However, in his recent documentary film, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, the rapper rubbished all these rumors and revealed what really happened. The ‘English Beat’ singer revealed, “Somebody spread a rumor that Shahrukh Khan slapped me. That man loves me, he’ll never lay a hand on me.” Honey then added, “When they took me to Chicago for the show, I said, ‘I don’t want to perform.’ I was sure I was going to die during that show. Everyone told me that I should get ready, but I refused. My manager came and said, ‘Why are you not getting ready? Ready?’ I said, ‘I’m not going’ I went to the washroom, took the trimmer and I cut my hair, I said, ‘How will I perform now?’ However, the rapper’s team asked him to perform wearing a cap. He further said, “There was a coffee mug lying there. I picked it up and hit it on my head.”
Honey Singh’s sister became emotional remembering the incident
Along with Honey Singh, his sister was also included in the documentary series. She also remembered that incident and became emotional. She said, “I was in my room. He messaged that something was not right with me. He said can you come on Skype. And then he said, ‘Please save me, Gudiya please save me.’ And then he disconnected the phone. I was trying to reach out to (his ex-wife) Shalini.
Honey’s sister further said, ‘He told me that he wants to do this show. You convinced him to do this show. I said I can’t. He told me that he was not feeling well and something bad was happening. No contact could be made with him for three hours. Three hours later, I was told he was in the hospital and had stitches in his head.”
