The tenth International Yoga Day was celebrated at the sports ground of DS College under the joint banner of Amar Ujala and DS College. Here hundreds of people took a pledge that they will do yoga and become healthy.
On 21st June, people started coming to the sports ground to do yoga from 5 am. The camp was inaugurated with lighting of lamps. Yoga started at the scheduled time of 6 am. Yogacharya Bobby Kumar Sharma and Sandhya explained the importance of yoga and made the participants do different yoga asanas. College teachers, students, employees, cadets of 3rd UP Girls Battalion, Sanskar Bharti and other social institutions participated in the yoga camp. The participants were presented certificates by Amar Ujala. The chief guest was MLC Choudhary Rishipal Singh and the battalion’s commanding officer Colonel Lalit Panwar. Principal Prof. Mukesh Kumar Bhardwaj administered the oath to the participants that they will include yoga in their daily routine. Prof. Manju Giri expressed his gratitude. The program was conducted by Dr. Neelam Srivastava. The program coordinator was Prof. Sunita Gupta.
