UP News: In the Ballia illegal recovery case, the Yogi government has taken a big action and transferred the SP and ASP. Along with this, the CO has been suspended and orders have been given for a vigilance inquiry into the property of the CO-SHO and the outpost in-charge. 18 policemen including the SHO involved in illegal recovery in Ballia have been suspended. At the same time, 2 policemen and 16 brokers have been arrested but 3 policemen have fled.

The joint teams of ADG Varanasi and DIG Azamgarh raided and exposed an organized gang of extortion at Bharouli Tiraha under Narhi police station of Ballia. The involvement of policemen has been exposed in this case, on which immediate action has been taken and the concerned SHO Narhi and outpost in-charge Korantadih, including 3 sub-inspectors, 3 head constables, 10 constables and 1 constable driver have been suspended. During this raid, 3 policemen fled, while 16 brokers including 2 policemen have been arrested. The residence of the suspended policemen has been sealed and a case has also been registered against all of them.

Let us tell you that illegal collection was done from the trucks coming from Buxar (Bihar), here 500 rupees were collected from every truck and the illegal business was of 5 lakhs every day. The brokers used to count the number of vehicles and give the money accordingly to the SHO Narhi, the account of which is recorded in the note book. This is how recovery was done

The brokers’ modus operandi of committing crime was that they would pre-arrange with the trucks coming from Buxar about the time and time at which these trucks would pass through the Thana Narhi area of ​​UP and as soon as these trucks entered Ballia, about Rs 500 was collected from each truck. An estimated 1000 trucks entered Ballia from Buxar in a single night. 37360 rupees, 14 motorcycles, 25 mobiles and 2 note books were recovered from the brokers arrested on the spot. These two note books contain details of the trucks passed last night and many days and nights before that. Now on the basis of this information, the network of illegal extortion being done by this organized gang will be exposed. In this investigation, it was found that the brokers used to count the number of vehicles and give money accordingly to the SHO Narhi.

Case filed against 16 brokers

In this case, a case has been registered against Narhi police station in-charge sub-inspector Pannalal, Korantadih outpost in-charge Rajesh Kumar Prabhakar, 7 policemen including head constable Haridayal Singh, head constable Vishnu Yadav, constable Satish Gupta, constable Deepak Mishra, constable Balram Singh and 16 brokers. In this case, 2 policemen constable Haridayal Singh of Narhi police station, constable Satish Gupta of Korantadih outpost and 16 brokers have been arrested.
