Apple iPhone Update: Apple has released the iOS 18.3 update, including many new features and improvements. The biggest feature of this update is integration of Starlink satellite connectivity. Apple introduced satellite connectivity for the first time in 2022, but with iOS 18.3, this technique has reached a new level.
Big change in satellite communication
According to reports, the starlink satellite for iPhones is working on the Satellite connectivity for iPhones. However, this feature is not yet available to all iPhone users and in the initial phase it is limited to select iPhones.
Messages can be sent without mobile network through this new technology. Although Apple did not describe it prominently in its official release notes, it could prove to be an important step in the future of mobile connectivity.
How will this new feature work?
If your iPhone is not showing any network signal, you can still send messages. This is possible due to Starlink and Apple’s partnership, so that T-mobile users can connect their iPhones to the satellites of spacex.
Currently, this facility is limited to sending text messages only through GlobalStar’s satellite menu or Apple’s Emergency Service feature. But in future, voice calls and data service can also be connected to satellite, which will reduce the dependence on traditional networks.
Connectivity now easier
Previously, the device had to hold the iphones to the sky to connect to the satellite. But after Starlink’s integration, the iPhone can automatically connect to the satellite, even if it is kept in your pocket. This is a small but very important change, which will make technology more comfortable in our everyday life.
Other new features of iOS 18.3
Although Starlink satellite connectivity is the biggest attraction of this update, many more improvements have been made in iOS 18.3.
Old feature back in calculator app: The Repeated Operation feature in iOS 17 has been re -added.
Camera control improvement: The iPhone 16 users have got a new feature of Auto Exposure and Focus locking, which can be active by holding the camera button.
