Movie Theater Rules: Whenever a big superstar’s film is released in India. So crores of people come to theaters to watch that film. A large number of spectators go to watch movies in movie theaters throughout the year. Due to which theater people earn lakhs.
Apart from this, huge income is also earned on food items. From popcorn to pizza, everything from popcorn to pizza is available in the theater at rates much higher than the normal rates. That’s why many people have been seen secretly taking food items to the movie theater. Know what the rules say about this. What thing can you take to the cinema hall? And which one is not?
Can’t take food items
Even though food items are available at higher rates in movie theatres. But still if someone goes to watch a movie. So he cannot take food items with him. The things to eat are available in the cinema hall premises. Will have to buy from there. If the price is more than normal then that too will have to be paid. Jammu and Kashmir High Court had said regarding food items in cinema halls.
That cinema hall owners should not stop the audience from taking food and drinks to the theatre. But this decision was overturned by the Supreme Court. But at the same time the Supreme Court also gave instructions that cinema hall owners will provide free water to the audience. And also, if someone has a small child, he will be allowed to take food with him.
Why did the Supreme Court ban?
In fact, while banning people from taking food to the movie theater, the Supreme Court said that the movie theater and cinema hall are anyone’s private property. In such a situation, someone can make personal rules for his personal space. In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, the petitioner said that if someone takes Jalebi to the cinema hall.
And wipes dirty hands on the seat. Then in such a situation the cinema hall owner will suffer the loss. Therefore, outside food is not allowed in the cinema hall. Along with this, you cannot carry knives or other sharp objects, inflammable substances etc. which fall under the category of deadly weapons in the cinema hall.
