Detect adulteration with these tips from FSSAI
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has also explained through a video how to identify real and fake flour. For this, put some flour in the test tube and mix a little water in it. After this, add three-four drops of hydrochloric acid in the flour and stir it well. Then dip the turmeric paper strip in this mixture. If the color of the paper stick turns red, then understand that boric acid has been mixed in the flour. Boric acid is a type of antiseptic medicine, which is used to kill germs. Consuming this type of flour can cause illness to people.

Find out with lemon at home
If you do not have hydrochloric acid available and you cannot follow the method suggested by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. So you can detect adulteration in flour using home remedies also. You can use lemon for this. Take some flour and mix two spoons of water and three spoons of lemon juice in it. If bubbles start rising from the flour after doing this, then this flour may be fake.
