This number has gradually reduced to just one student. There is only one student in this school, whose education is in charge of two teachers. Usually, studies are affected in government schools due to shortage of teachers, but the picture of a primary school located in Nainital district is different. Two teachers are deployed here to teach one student.
Ghughukham Gram Sabha, about 19 kilometers from the district headquarters, has a population of more than 500. This is the nearest primary school for the children of this Gram Sabha, but the question arises that despite there being only one primary school in the entire Gram Sabha, why the number of children is so less.
The number of students has decreased year after year
Primary school principal Shabana Siddiqui says that parents themselves are getting their children’s names removed and sending them to private schools located in the city. He told that in this way the number of children in our school gradually decreased and today there is only one child in the entire school, whose education is the responsibility of two teachers.
So will the only school be closed?
Chief Education Officer Jagmohan Soni said in this regard that the primary school will be inspected soon and every possible effort will be made to increase the number of children there. If the number of students in this school is less, then the teacher here will be adjusted in a school with more students. In such a situation, the question arises that if the teachers are given the responsibility of another school, will the only primary school located in Ghughukham Gram Sabha be closed?
