Army soldiers are rendering their services for the country in temperatures ranging from -20 to -30 degrees.

In such a situation, we are telling you about their salary according to their rank. The salary of personnel in the Indian Army is determined under their rank and pay commission. Along with this, many benefits and facilities are also given to the army personnel. 

Rank wise salary structure 

Constable and Junior Commissioned Officer Ranks: A soldier joining the Indian Army gets around Rs 25,000 in cash in hand every month. Apart from this, a Lance Naik gets a salary of around Rs 30,000 and a Havildar gets a salary of around Rs 40,000 per month. The allowances they get in this are different. 

Lieutenant: Salary for the post of Lieutenant is given under the 10th Pay Commission. Officers of this rank get basic salary ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. This amount is without allowance.

Captain: Captain gets salary ranging from Rs 61,300 to Rs 1,93,900 under the 10th Pay Commission. Allowance is not included in this.

Lieutenant Colonel:Lieutenant Colonel gets salary under pay level 12A. Here their basic salary ranges from Rs 1,21,200 to Rs 2,12,400, which does not include allowances.

Colonel: Colonel gets a salary of Rs 1,30,600 to Rs 2,15,900 under Pay Level 13. This amount is also without allowance.

Brigadier: Brigadiers get a salary of Rs 1,39,600 to Rs 2,17,600 under pay level 13A, which does not include allowances.

Major General: Major General gets a salary ranging from Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 under Pay Level 14.

Lieutenant General (HAG Scale): Lieutenant General HAG Scale gets a salary of Rs 1,82,200 to Rs 2,24,100 under Pay Level 15, without any allowances.

< p style="text-align: justify;">Lieutenant General (HAG + Scale):  This rank comes under pay level 16, where the salary ranges from Rs 2,05,400 to Rs 2,24,400, which is without allowances.

VCOAS/Army Commander/Lieutenant General (NEGS):  Officers of this rank draw Rs 2,25,000 under Pay Level 17, excluding any allowances.

< p style="text-align: justify;">Army Chief Staff:The Army Chief Staff draws a fixed pay of Rs 2,50,000 under Pay Level 18, without any allowances.

NDA Exam and Salary: Candidates recruited into the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force through National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) also get attractive salaries and allowances. Candidates recruited in NDA get Rs 56,100 per month during training. After completion of the course, they are appointed to the rank of Lieutenant, and their starting salary ranges from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
