A 55-year-old man was burnt to death after touching a high tension wire in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening. There was screaming in the house after the incident. Police and electricity department officials reached the spot and took information about the incident. He has assured the family of all possible help.
The incident took place in Chaumuhan village of Jaint police station area. Manohar was living here for the last 10 years behind the gas warehouse located on the service road of the highway. He worked as a mason. A high tension line has passed over his house. Son Sahdev told that the father was eating food sitting on the terrace. When he stood up, his foot suddenly slipped. He touched the HT line wire. Due to this he got badly burnt. He died on the spot.
Said that the electricity department officials were repeatedly demanded to remove the line. Also submitted applications several times. But, no hearing took place. Today our father lost his life due to negligence. Told that we have two brothers and two sisters at home. One sister is married. The second one is still 14 years old.
Police station in-charge Ajay Verma said that the body has been taken into custody and kept in the mortuary. Further action is being taken. SDO Rahul Chaurasia told that earlier people built houses below the line behind the fields here. Once or twice the workers also went to raise the line by installing poles. The residents of the colony did not allow polling on this. The incident is sad. The department will provide financial assistance to the family.
