A tragic accident took place on Thursday morning on the old bridge of Son river in Sonbhadra district. During this time a young man died on the spot. He was going to Sinduria by bike with his friend Akashdeep Maurya to appear for the exam. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot.

Sudhanshu Yadav (19), son of Rampravesh Yadav, resident of Hinauta Chakra of Robertsganj police station area, was going to take the exam on a bike. Along with him, Akashdeep Maurya, son of Manoj Maurya, resident of Amdih, Police Station Robertsganj was also riding on the bike.
A speeding highway truck coming from behind hit his bike at the northern end of the old bridge of Son river. Sudhanshu died on the spot in the accident, while Akashdeep Maurya, who was sitting behind, narrowly escaped. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. Police reached the spot after receiving information from the local people and recovered the truck that hit them.
Senior Sub Inspector Umashankar Yadav said that the body has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem and the injured Akashdeep is being treated at Chopan Community Health Centre. The traffic system is smooth. Police are identifying the truck driver and investigation into the case is ongoing.
