A young man committed suicide by hanging himself in Bharat Nagar area on Monday morning. No suicide note has been found from him. Family members allege that the young man had doubts about his wife’s character. Being troubled by the family discord due to this, he has taken this step. The police are investigating the matter by sending the body for post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Niranjan (40). He lived in Kabir Nagar area with his wife and two children. He used to work in a hosiery factory located in Ashok Vihar. The police officer said that on Monday morning, information was received that the youth had committed suicide by hanging himself. Police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem. To know the reason for suicide, the police interrogated Niranjan’s family members and neighbors.
During interrogation, his brother Ajay alleged that he took this step due to the suspicion of his wife having illicit relations. His brother got married 13 years ago. After a few months of marriage, he started doubting his wife’s character. A distant relative of his wife, who is working in Delhi Police, often visited his house. The family members tried to convince his wife, but she did not agree. The victim also complained to the police several times, but no action was taken. His wife continued to meet her friend.
Ajay alleged that the accused used to come to Niranjan’s house when he was not at home, but on Monday the accused came to his house early in the morning. There was a fight between the couple over this matter and then at five in the morning he committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. The police are investigating the matter regarding the allegations.
