A youth jumped from Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 station of Delhi Metro. The injured have been admitted to LBS Hospital for treatment. The case has been transferred to Yamuna Bank police station for further investigation.

There was a stir at Mayur Vihar metro station when a young man jumped from the metro station. The youth has been identified as Abhishek (24), a resident of Mayur Vihar Phase I. The youth was immediately admitted to the nearby LBS Hospital. Yamuna Bank Metro Station Police is investigating the case by interrogating the youth’s family members.

According to a metro police officer, information was received about a boy jumping down from the metro station at around 4.45 pm on Monday afternoon. Police team reached the spot. By then the PCR personnel had admitted the young man to the hospital. The police examined the CCTV footage installed at the station. In which it was revealed that the young man reached the metro station from his home and jumped from there. Initial inquiry revealed that injured Abhishek lives with his two sisters and mother. He studies in Guru Gobind Singh College, Punjabi Bagh. Police are interrogating his family members and getting information about the reasons for the suicide attempt.
